Food is defined: " that which is eaten to sustain life, provide energy, and promote the growth and repair of tissues " (Macmillan Dictionary). If the food you eat gives you a short term pleasure after which you feel bloated, tired, lethargic or depressed, then you are not eating food. It is probably a man-made imitation with convincing marketing.
When you select what to eat, you can choose either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. Different macronutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates) cause different hormonal responses. Rather than thinking mechanically in terms of "calories in and calories out" (whatever the calories), it is vital to understand and work with your body.

2 key strategies - Low carbs diet & intermittent fasting.
The low carb diet can be broken down in 2 simple principles:
1) Avoid starchy and sugary foods and drinks
2) Choose minimally processed food and avoid ultra-processed foods (UPFs)
Intermittent fasting is related to the frequency of eating and the time you give your body to digest and recover between meals.

When I could no longer ignore my body's distress signals, I began a low-carb diet and intermittent fasting. I had to find a cure the recurring sinus infections and weight gain. Doctors kept giving me antibiotics and nasal sprays that never fixed the root of the problem. Food did.
